The DEQ is accepting written comments on the plant’s draft air pollution permit.

The Virginia Air Pollution Control Board has specifically requested that the public weigh in!
The air pollution permit would allow the plant to annually emit 5.3 million tons of carbon dioxide; thousands of tons of pollutants that cause smog, haze, respiratory problems, and premature death; and 72 lbs. of the neurotoxin mercury. Please take this final opportunity to stand up for healthy air in person and ask that the permit be denied.

The Terrastock Music Festival is a 4- day event celebrating and sharing the experience of Psychedelic Rock, Folk, and Experimental Music. The festival is named because of its roots as a supplement to the print and online music magazine, “The Ptolemaic Terrascope”, founded in England by Phil McMullen. To date, there have been six previous Terrastock festivals, with the most recent in Providence, Rhode Island in April 2006.
