With minutes to go before we open our new digital store and music index to our friends and fellow musicians, I should tell you about the first time that I ever heard of Monkeyclaus. I, Peter Agelasto, was sitting on a second-hand sofa in Boston in 1995, when the name "Monkeyclaus" took over my brain. I was so inspired that without hesitation I jumped out of my seat and onto the table in front of my good friends and proclaimed "Monkeyclaus". Everyone looked at me like oh-this-is-just-Peter-acting-crazy. No this was different. With eyes rolling at me, I told my friends I am "going to do Monkeyclaus for the rest of my life".

I doubt anyone there really thought I was serious. Well here we are years later and since I said that, I have "done Monkeyclaus everyday". Back then, I thought I was going to try to create something like a new version of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. I wanted to create something that I could believe in and that would ultimately unite the imaginations of others. Well here we are... Let me share the piece of advice that has meant a great deal during the past few years. "Most folks over estimate what they can accomplish in one year, but under estimate what they can do in ten years." Seriously this is the truth.
